Privacy Policy

StayOnFile is a static reference and tools site. We collect as little data as possible, by design.
- No accounts. There is nothing to sign up for.
- No data leaves your browser when you use the deadline checker or any client-side tool. Inputs you type into a calculator are not transmitted to us or to any third party.
- We do show ads on the site through Google AdSense. Those ads use cookies; full disclosure below.
What we collect
- Anonymous analytics. When enabled, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are popular. This collects URL paths, referrers, approximate country, and device class — not personally identifying information, not cookies, and not data shared with advertising networks. Cloudflare processes this data on our behalf; see Cloudflare’s privacy policy for their handling practices.
- Advertising data via Google AdSense. StayOnFile displays ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its third-party vendors use cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to StayOnFile or other websites on the internet. This may include data such as your IP address, approximate location, device information, and ad interaction events. Google’s use of advertising cookies is governed by Google’s privacy policy and Google’s advertising policy.
Your choices for advertising
- You can opt out of personalized advertising from Google by visiting Google’s Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of third-party vendor use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting aboutads.info.
- Opting out does not remove ads; it makes them less personalized.
What we do not collect
- We do not set our own tracking cookies. Cookies on the site come from Google AdSense (described above); we don’t read or store them ourselves.
- We do not collect data from the deadline checker or any other on-page calculator. Inputs are processed entirely in your browser.
- We do not run analytics or retargeting trackers from Meta, TikTok, or similar advertising networks.
- We do not sell data, because we do not have data to sell.

We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, ad-retargeting networks beyond Google AdSense, or session-recording tools.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), or similar laws, including the right to access, correct, or delete information we hold about you. We don’t hold personal data directly — if you have questions or requests, email info@stayonfile.com and we’ll respond within 30 days.
For data Google or Cloudflare hold as independent processors, exercise those rights with them directly via the links above.
Children
StayOnFile is intended for adults running US-based small businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
Changes
If we change how we collect or use data, we’ll update this page and the “Last reviewed” date at the top. Material changes will be flagged in the changelog.
