LLC deadline checker
Pick your state and enter your formation date to compute your next annual report deadline, franchise tax due date (where applicable), and the days remaining. Everything runs in your browser — nothing you type is sent to StayOnFile, and there's no account or email signup.
Compute your next deadline
Pick a state above to see your next deadline. Anniversary-based states (California, Nevada, Washington, others) also need your formation date.
Your next deadlines
Computed from the state data on this site as of each state's last-reviewed date. Always verify on the official portal before filing — this is a planning estimate, not legal advice. See disclaimer.
How this works
The tool reads the same state data shown on each state page. For states with a fixed-calendar deadline (most states use one), we compute the next occurrence on or after today. For anniversary-based states, we use the formation date you provide. You can download a calendar (.ics) file with the next due date as an all-day event.
The Last reviewed date on the matching state page is the authoritative timestamp — if a state has changed its deadline since that date, the tool will show the previous one until we re-review the page. Always confirm on the official portal before mailing payment or submitting a filing.
What the tool doesn't do
- It doesn't tell you whether you have a back-filing obligation from missed prior years — that's specific to your situation; see the "what happens if you miss it" section on your state page.
- It doesn't compute escalating late fees or interest. The penalty table on each state page documents the schedule directly; use that to estimate what's owed if you're already past a deadline.
- It doesn't account for entity-specific carve-outs (LLC-electing-S-corp pass-throughs, PLLC professional rules, foreign-LLC registration). For anything beyond a default-taxed domestic LLC, confirm on the official portal before relying on the computed date.
